Visited Rokubee 2nd: The Dream Continues

Gourmet Guide

I made my way to the newly relocated “Rokubee 2nd: Yume no Tsuzuki” at Takefu Rakuichi. Word on the street? This is the reincarnation of the beloved Takefu Rokubee. The location? Formerly the site of Kankichi—talk about prime sushi real estate.

Today’s mission: a lunch gathering. High noon. Hungry souls. Culinary destiny.

Two standout lunch options ruled the scene: the Seasonal Three-Tier Bento (¥2,200) or the elusive Five-Piece Nigiri Lunch (¥1,150)—a limited offering of only ten sets a day. Naturally, we all zeroed in on the exclusivity like true lunchtime tacticians.

What arrived? A compact culinary festival: five delicate nigiri pieces, udon noodles, a crisp salad, and three elegant little side dishes. The sushi? Far tastier than expected—fresh, balanced, and joyously well-prepared. It was the kind of lunch that whispers, “you made the right call.”

Surprisingly bustling for a weekday. The crowd? A cheerful storm of lunch-loving ladies. It seems Rokubee 2nd has found its devoted fanbase already—and they came ready.

Fin.
