LOVE Fashion’ in Kyoto – A Modern Take on Style and Art

Travel in Japan

I visited the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto to see the exhibition “LOVE Fashion—When I Transform Myself.” It featured garments from the 18th century alongside pieces by modern designers.

Since I once had a minor brush with the fashion industry, I made the trip to Kyoto just to see the real clothes up close.

I took a lot of pictures, but no photo can truly convey the textures. To be honest, it wasn’t the garment shapes but the way the fabrics were made that fascinated me most. Every single one was astonishing. Truly impressive.

Next up—lunch.
